The legacy continues! E.J. & Company leaves its audiences spellbound and cheering for MORE! E.J. & Company is established by South Florida's master musician the late Emridge EJ Jones Jr. The professional contemporary jazz group currently appears throughout South Florida and the United States. Their unique sound is funky, sensual, and rhythmic. Even in stillness, E.J. & Company evokes a vigorous presence. Audiences feel the emotional sounds of this phenomenal group and are known to stand up, throw their arms in the air, and move to the pulsating rhythms of this ensemble.
E.J. & Company has performed with and opened for other national and international acts such as Maze ft. Frankie Beverly, Jimmy Bo Horne, Earth Wind and Fire, KC and The Sunshine Band, Kool and the Gang, Miami Sound Machine, Issac Hayes, George Benson, Olivia Newton-John, George Michaels, BB King, and many more.

EJ has always been a man of the people and he loved his community. Anyone who knows EJ or had the pleasure of speaking with him always spoke of how kind and generous he was. EJ was very generous with his time as he offered free drumming and music lessons to at-risk youth throughout the Broward County area but primarily in the city at Pompano Beach where he worked with The Boys and Grils Club of Pompano. Through his efforts, in 2001 EJ was recognized and received the prestigious African American Achievers award in the field of Arts. Every year JM family celebrates members of the community who made a difference in the lives of others. A meaningful difference driven by passion and a greater purpose. Not to earn a pat on the back or a few moments in the spotlight, but for the reward of positively impacting the world around them.
EJ's legacy lives on. EJ's passion for the arts and community service continues to bless others through the Emridge Jones Foundation. The foundation is part Sponsor of Apprentices in Jazz Camp at Dillard High Schools world-renowned performing arts program and Jazz band. Dillard’s Jazz Band is ranked top in the nation among High Schools. The foundation ensures that youth will continue to pursue their passion in the arts, primarily through music and Jazz.
